The Sugar Bush Foundation’s Core Commitments Series

The Sugar Bush Foundation video series highlights the organization’s mission-driven work in Appalachian Ohio through meaningful partnerships with Ohio University and local communities. These videos explore the Foundation’s core commitments, including creating replicable models that can inspire similar initiatives elsewhere, restoring the environment through sustainable development, and fostering civic engagement. A key focus is on engaging students, providing them with hands-on opportunities to contribute to impactful projects. The series also emphasizes the importance of campus and community partnerships, showcasing how collaboration between the university and local stakeholders leads to lasting, positive change in the region.

 

For this video series, I assisted in all phases of production for a video series. During filming, prepared equipment and operated Camera B. Provided technical guidance during editing, particularly with Adobe Premiere and After Effects. Contributed feedback to the lead editor and offered additional support throughout post-production as needed.

Passion Works Studio is committed to locally sourcing and upcycling materials otherwise discarded. This story explores the studio’s artistic re-imagining of post-consumer waste and industry by-products in support of vibrant communities, workforce development, and a creative economy. Through a lens of abundance, we invite you to witness the potential that emerges when materials are transformed within and beyond the walls of the studio. Ultimately, this work speaks to a larger story of the beauty that can be found in people and places if our imagination is ignited by a sense of possibility.
