Blue Rock Station, repurposing for the future

In 1993 Jay and Annie Warmke begin with the initiative to build an “Earthship”. A structured design with the intention of use recyclable material to create their home by design it with elements that increase the housing efficiency using natural sources. Since the beginning of the project, this facility became a touristic destination. Over the years, Jay and Annie have find a way the way to use the popularity of this house to teach the visitor how to live in a sustainable way. Now a day the couple host several activities, in Blue Rock Station or in nervy town, related to sustainable projects.
